Support your students in learning how to care for the instrument and utilise singing and buzzing as they begin to produce beautiful music.
The tuba is the lowest-pitched musical instrument in the brass family. As with all brass instruments, the sound is produced by lip vibration – a buzz – into a mouthpiece. It first appeared in the mid-19th century, making it one of the newer instruments in the modern orchestra and concert band.

Reputed lower brass musician, with great amounts of experience, expertise and accolades.
In 2019, I was selected to participate in the Sydney Youth Orchestra’s European Tour, to which I was the principal tuba player. I have also been invited on the SYO 2021 international tour. I am a current student at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, specialising in euphonium/tuba, to which I was selected to participate in all four seasons of their premiere ensemble (Conservatorium Wind Symphony). I have received my AMusA on Tuba, and my AMEB 8th grade certificate on Euphonium, with hopes of receiving my diploma for such in the near future.
