Bonita Han-Williams

About the course:

Join Bonita Han-Williams, experienced double-bassist with the Opera Australia Orchestra, as she demonstrates the fundamentals of the double bass.

Support your students as they learn to understand the instrument and use the bow correctly on their way to performing simple scales and songs.

About the instrument:

The double bass, also known simply as the bass, amongst other names, is the largest and lowest-pitched string instrument in the modern symphony orchestra (excluding unorthodox additions such as the octobass). Similar in structure to the cello, it has four, although occasionally five, strings.
